Tips for a clean merged video

Arrange clips before starting the export and preview the beginning and end of each file. When source clips use different resolutions, frame rates, or orientations, select one consistent output profile. This avoids a final file that changes size or plays unpredictably between clips.

The clips appear in the wrong order

Return to the file list and arrange the items in playback order before selecting Encode. Numbering source filenames can make a long sequence easier to verify.

The joined video has no sound or audio is out of sync

Play each source file first, then try a widely supported output profile. Avoid changing the frame rate unless needed and make sure the source download is complete.

Frequently asked questions

Can I join videos with different formats?

Yes. Choose one output format for the merged file. All source clips will be processed into that common output profile.

Does joining videos overwrite the originals?

No. The program creates a new output file. Keep the source clips until you have watched and verified the result.

Does Free Video Cutter Joiner work on Windows 11?

Yes. The current download supports Windows 11 and Windows 10.
